Ann is an attorney, mediator and adjunct law professor at the Massachusetts School of Law. Since 1994 she has taught Mediation, Arbitration Practice Skills; Mediation Workshop; and also The Lawyer in Contemporary Society at MSL. After graduating from Suffolk University Law School, she completed a Mediation Training course, and completed the Negotiation Program at Harvard Law School Program of Instruction for Lawyers. From 1980 to 1991 she was a District Court Probation Officer; from 1991 until 2001 she was founder and Director of the Civil Conciliation Program in the Lawrence District Court. She served as Conciliator in hundreds of civil cases in Essex and Middlesex County courts and also trained attorneys to serve as court conciliators. She is a prior member of the Supreme Judicial Court Standing Committee on Dispute Resolution. She has taught Conflict Resolution skills to administrators at the Billerica House of Correction, to members of the Army National Guard, and school administrators.
Atty. O’Connor has taught Alternative Dispute Resolution at both UMASS Lowell and Middlesex Community College, and the Mediation Training course at Middlesex Community College. She teaches and works as a mediator.
